The bag is not flimsy and it sits still firm, which is perfect because i can easily grab things. Durable material, it is perfect for the beach and you do not have to worry about ruining it because it is not a leather designer bag. I wouldn't lay it directly on the sand, I always put it in a beach chair or table next to me.
